For Jess and Drannan's wedding, we drove up the windy road into the beautiful mountains of Floyd, Virginia to The Pine Tavern Lodge where the couple, along with their friends and family, were getting ready for the big day. The mountains were haloed by a slow drifting fog, and a slight mist was in the air, making it cool outside and providing us with that gorgeous, even lighting for pictures!
We photographed lots of lovely details at the Tavern, including Jessica's beautiful necklace from Drannan, and Drannan's keepsake box and watch from Jess! Afterward, we all made our way to the Chateau Morrisette Winery, were the most stunning weeping cherry trees were in bloom, and a breathtaking view of the mountains stretched out far beyond the chathum grey brick and stone of the winery grounds.
Jess looked stunning in her blush dress, wearing a special hair piece that her mother made, a Scottish coin in her shoe, and an heirloom handkerchief around her bouquet. Her bridesmaids also wore lovely pieces which were hand crafted by the talented mother of the bride!
Drannan looked handsome in his navy suit and brown shoes as he helped his little brother, Colten, get ready for the vents of the day. Drannan's grandfather for whom he was named, was also in his bridal party, and the couple had recently surprised him by taking his last name, Wyatt as their new married name to be!
Every event of the day unfolded beautifully, as Jess & Drannan said "I Do," shared their first dance as husband and wife, cut their cake, and laughed and cried as their loved ones toasted their union. Jess' mother and aunts came together to surprise the couple with a Pittsburgh Cookie Table, and Jess's reaction was absolutely priceless!
During the reception we also learned that the couple and their guests were all amazing dancers and performers! Using forks and even Mel's speed-light as a microphone to perform along with their favorite songs, they really rocks to DJ the DJ's tunes and colorful light show!
The night ended with a spark-tastic sparkler send off, and everyone cheered as the couple waved goodbye, beaming from ear to ear.
Congratulation, Jess and Drannan!
Wishing you the best of days yet to come as Mr. & Mrs. Wyatt!
